Job boards directory for India

No single job board covers every role well. A board that is excellent for a first job at a large company is often a poor fit for a senior product hire, and the reverse is just as true.

This is not a ranked list and there is no affiliate link here. Each entry states what the board tends to be good for and where it tends to fall short, so you can pick based on your own search rather than a generic "best of" order.

General and mass hiring

Naukri.com
Good for: the widest volume of listings across every experience level and city in India, and strong for recruiter-initiated contact if your profile is complete. Weak for: signal-to-noise, since volume includes a large share of outdated or low-quality postings, and generic mass applications are easy to get lost in.
LinkedIn Jobs
Good for: roles at companies with an active LinkedIn presence, and for using your network for a referral before applying cold. Weak for: smaller local employers and roles below a few years of experience, where LinkedIn’s hiring activity is thinner outside major cities.
Indeed India
Good for: broad coverage including smaller and regional employers that do not always post elsewhere. Weak for: filtering quality, since it aggregates postings from many sources with uneven vetting.

Tech-focused

Instahyre
Good for: mid-to-senior tech roles at funded startups and product companies, with a curated matching model rather than open search. Weak for: entry-level and non-tech roles, which the platform does not really serve.
Hirist
Good for: technical roles specifically, with better filtering by skill and stack than general boards. Weak for: volume outside the top few metros, and for non-technical hiring.
Cutshort
Good for: early-to-mid career tech roles at startups, with a lighter, more direct application flow. Weak for: senior leadership hiring, which is thin on the platform.

Startup and product companies

Wellfound (formerly AngelList Talent)
Good for: seeing equity and stage information upfront for startup roles, and for direct founder contact at very early companies. Weak for: large established companies, which mostly are not listed here, and for verifying a startup’s actual funding status beyond what it self-reports.

Government and public sector

National Career Service (ncs.gov.in)
Good for: government and PSU vacancies, apprenticeships, and skill-linked postings run through the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Weak for: private-sector tech and corporate roles, which are not its focus.

Remote and global

RemoteOK / We Work Remotely
Good for: fully remote roles at global companies willing to hire from India, often at global rather than local pay bands. Weak for: verifying employer legitimacy, since listing quality and vetting vary a lot more than on India-focused boards, so run the red-flag checklist before applying.
Turing / Deel-style talent platforms
Good for: getting matched to US and global company contract or full-time remote roles without cold outreach. Weak for: negotiating power, since pay bands and contract terms are often set by the platform rather than negotiated directly with the employer.

What this does not cover

Questions people ask

Which job board is the best overall?
There is no single best board, because they serve different hiring patterns. A senior product hire and a fresher’s first job are usually not well served by the same platform.
Is it worth using more than one board at a time?
Usually yes, since coverage does not fully overlap. Two or three boards matched to your role and level cover more ground than one large general board alone.
How do I check whether a remote listing on a global board is legitimate?
Run it through the job posting red flag checker before applying, since global remote boards vary more in listing quality than India-focused ones do.
